Micro MINIATURE HIGHLANDS

EMILY’S PASSION

Living the Dream at Tamborine

For founder Emily Gawley, Fairweather Farm is more than a property — it’s a living dream. After selling her northern Gold Coast home, Emily set her sights on creating a private hinterland sanctuary dedicated to the world’s finest micro and miniature animals — with Micro Miniature Highland Cattle at its heart, soon to arrive in Spring 2026.

A SPARK OF INSPIRATION.

In the meantime, Fairweather Farm hums with life. Emily, an animal lover since birth, tends a small group of Valais Blacknose sheep, rescue chickens, and her trio of chihuahuas — Snowy, Roxie, and Milo — and even keeps a micro-hive of native Australian stingless bees, tiny creatures that reflect her love for rarity and balance in nature. Surrogate Black Angus cows are managed offsite in the Scenic Rim, ready to contribute to future breeding programs

Ever the student of her craft, Emily is working alongside Sydney-based AI and animal-care experts, expanding her hands-on knowledge of reproductive science and herd management. Her partnership with Chad of Rockin’ L Ranch USA remains close — Chad himself will travel to Australia to assist during the farm’s first Highland calving season in Spring 2026, a milestone moment and invaluable learning experience for Emily.

Fairweather Farm is a place of passion and patience — where science meets soul, and every creature, great or small, is given the space to thrive.
